As anyone who peers into the spring skies can attest, our nation's symbol- the bald eagle- is once again becoming a fairly common site, especially in South Louisiana. Each fall, male and female bald eagles migrate to Louisiana to begin their search for the perfect nesting spot. They prefer our Cypress Tupelo swamps, and many return to the same nests year after year. Join us to view these majestic birds perched in a tree, soaring overhead, tending to their young or hunting for food. Guided boat tours and presentations by birding experts and wildlife photographers round out this three day event.
Event highlights include:
* Photography workshop with CC Lockwood and field trip to Bayou Black
(separate registration and payment)
* Welcome reception at Oaklawn Manor
* Dinner and presentation sponsored by America's WETLAND
* Boat tours into the Atchafalaya Basin, Lake Verret, Bayou Black and
Bayou Chene
* Seminars by wildlife experts
